I LOVE L.A.

Well, I must, I've spent more time driving down this past few weeks than I have in a long while. However, I've also gotten a lot of things done: my splinter-group for singing met to arrange our oh-so-short playlist, CousinH sold some jewelry and things have been hauled up. All this driving:

Thurs - Pick Up CousinH (back and forth)
Sat - Down to Torrance for CreepyKid's guild meeting (back and forth)
Mon - Down to L.A. for being part of a cast of hundreds...or at least tens (Drive back Tuesday)
Sat - Down to Singing Group and pick up CousinH, again.

So...as you can see, my ass has clocked many hours of late, and this just starts the season of Faire, so I will look forward to the numerous ways I may drive to the Southern California area.

On other notes....

CreepyKid turned in her very boring science fair project
CousinH has settled in and is even home-improvementing around the place
WoodTurnerD has been working mad hours due to the union employee lock-out at his place of employ

And me...well...keeping busy...working my crochet and trying to maintain the cleanliness being established at the homestead.

For those of you who are new to my written universe (or for those of you who may have forgotten since I dropped off the face of the 'net) the Rosetta Stone of my family that I write about.

Creepy or CreepyGirl - that's me
CreepyKid - my daughter
WoodturnerD - my boyfriend, formerly known as NewGuy...but it's been like five years so he gets a new name now
Sis - my sister, duh
NephewG - her son
Bro - um, yeah, my brother
CreepyMom - my Mother
Dad - yup, you guessed that one
Buffi-Mom - my other Mother
AuntMom - CreepyMom's twin sister
Cousin H - AuntMom's oldest daughter
Cousin Jess - Cousin H's sister

I try to keep people's names off the Web, so I invent a title and/or written name for them, so if you see someone who looks like it might be you...it very well might be you!

That's something else...June...whew, where DOES the time go??!?

Let me sum up what's happened since June:

I published an issue of my guild's newsletter
I bowed out of Halloween (sad, sad year...it was the equivalent of not having a Christmas)
I did attend several parties (Halloween - for the first time in YEARS! Christmas, post-Thanksgiving...awesome shin-digs)
I have met with my Guild to start up the new RenFaire season! HUZZAH!
NewGuy's Mom has been diagnosed with a case of "you're not going to live very long" which sucks all the way 'round.
CreepyKid is pulling straight A's in highschool and college
...And that leads us up to the last month or so....
AuntMom has been having problems, mostly lots of medications piled one atop the other. She's gotten very thin (skin and bones), very frail (Christmas she said it hurt for her skin to touch her other skin) and she looked kinda' yellow (think liver).

She suffered a heart attack, got her stint installation and has left the hospital....she's still not fully recovered in many different ways.

That being said...my Cousin H also suffered another breakdown (in September) and ended up splitting with her long-term bf. Which left her very few options...she moved back in with AuntMom, which was not such a good idea. Too many whack-a-doodles in one house. ;-) It wouldn't be so bad but not everyone's on the right meds and Queen Bee doesn't like having another woman in the house. I've seen it happen over and over...but I'm not sure why. ANYWAY...I digress..

Cousin H couch surfed with her sister, her friend and her parents....she recently had another episode and found herself back in the psych ward. I'm sure she's probably having some type of issues, but she seems relatively fine to me. When she gets out she has limited living issues: Not at AuntMom's (bad idea), not at her sister's (bad landlord), not at my sisters (same thing) and all other friends end up having ties back to AuntMom...this is what comes of having a very small social circle.

Anyway, when she gets out she'll be living with me. I have a spare bedroom with attached bath, I have no landlord to complain and I have distance from the rest of the family, not necessarily a bad thing. Time for her to start fresh and new.

So, I'll be posting here how she's doing...how I'm doing...and the regular drivel I used to spout here as well!
